Having been through addiction myself and now found a new way to live, I want others to have the same opportunity.

I found recovery in 2012 when I was given the opportunity to go to rehab from prison, having been stuck in the criminal justice system for 26 years, the only constant in my life was entrenched homelessness, offending, addiction and mental health, I knew deep down something had to change.
At the time I never realized the impact, that 1 decision could have on my life, that moment of
willingness and practicing blind faith in someone that had been where I had been, has given me the life I have today.
I’m very grateful to be in a place to offer this opportunity to others, change is possible, I’m living proof...

I’m in recovery from substances misuse. I was addicted to drugs, prescription medication and alcohol for many years, I was given an opportunity to have a medical detox. I got clean and sober, changed my lifestyle and found a new way to live. I have now been in abstinent recovery for 17 years and 5 months. I have a wonderful life today, thanks to recovery.
